the dehydration of the skin. This dehydration causes the skin to age prematurely and results in the
skin becoming wrinkled. To avoid this, moisturizing cream that should be applied as needed. The
cream will enhance the natural elements of the body such as collagen and help to maintain the skin’s
elasticity.
Another damaging effect to the skin is caused by the sun’s ultra
violet rays. This bombardment on the unprotected skin may cause skin cancer. In order to protect
yourself from the sun’s harmful rays, wear clothes that cover the body. The use of long sleeves, the
wearing of long pants and a hat will go far in protecting the skin from the rays of the
sun.
Good skin care advice also includes the wearing of a high
quality sunscreen. A quality sunscreen should have a SPF rating of 30 or higher. Also, it is wise
to avoid direct sunlight when the sun is radiating at its peak.
Quit Smoking
Smoking is a hazardous habit that not only affects the lungs,
but the skin as well. The skin of the human body depends on the clean air continually circulating
around its essence. Also, the body depends upon rich oxygenated blood being delivered throughout the
body. Smoking impairs this process. That is why smokers often appear to have an ashen
complexion.
Skin care advice, pertinent to smoking, is to
make every effort to quit smoking. Other skin care advice includes eating a healthy diet, exfoliating your skin,
and maintaining your skin’s cleanliness.
